TODAY..I brought Caesar for the $100 grooming and.. I think it's worth the money!!! Very very satisfied. They're damn friendly to Caesar and thorough in their grooming.
I was quite reluctant to let Caesar try on the remote-collar actually (where you actually shock them out of their senses). It's definately effective to shock Caesar out of a fight but I don't think it's nice to do that to make them obedient.
Imagine you're a parent and you see your son carrying a chopper dashing towards some people he hates, if you are able to stop, will you hit him unconscious 1st? I might. But I won't hit him unconscious everytime he doesn't listen to me. Hmmmm, d'you get what I mean?
Anyway, I tested on the 'shock' before putting it on for Caesar. I seriously don't feel much, no pain at all, just a tingle. I reconfirmed by asking, do dogs react to this level of 'shock'? Surprisingly, yes.
Well if Caesar can really get 'shocked' out of a fight with that lil tingle, I would consider it, cos the 2 dogs he attacked we quite badly injured.. one of which, a mastiff! Bloody mastiff, I thought Caesar was seeking death then *elaborate next post*. I can only say, Caesar didn't die cos he's a LOT bigger than the mastiff.
We tried it on, Caesar was lying on the floor under the air-con and as usual, he didn't react to my commands cos he didn't see the need to. So Owen (the owner) pressed the remote. Caesar lay there like nothing happened - no reactions at all. We tried increasing the power gradually. When finally Caesar was seen having a lil reaction, he got used to it eventually, and continued to ignore the feel. LOL. Owen described him as uniquely 'hard-headed', like what many trainers told me.
Gonna update you again after my last paper tomorrow. I went back to MBS again to see my kids just now. So happy to see the people there again =) Love all the nice teachers, canteen ventors and wonderful kids! Hubby went for a 2nd airborne jump just now.
*I love the improved Hotmail services and features. Love it! It's exactly what I've wished for!
