PERFORMANCE AT THE 2007 INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIADS FOR SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS
Ok let's put this aside. You know, Singapore's standard of mathematics and sciences is kindda high as compared internationally. I guess most people know that, including foreign students that receive education here.
However, I have a few Indonesian friends that INSISTED that their mathematics are sooooo much harder. Two of which, from my secondary school. Let's just say, Singapore's mathematics is sooooo easy that one got only A2 and the other, F9 for Elementary Maths at 'O' level! *laugh out very loud* E-Maths you know? I'm not a clever kid at all, but I got better results. So how exactly easy was Singapore's standard of maths as compared to theirs, in their shoes?
By the way. F9. Can you imagine this happening to a guy that claimed that SG's standard of math = easy?? And don't try to be stupid saying I do not know how to convert currencies. I just really can't be bothered.
So if we can write a number in 1 second, they have to spend about 5 seconds? 5 times our duration. So their JC standand's paper should have a duration of 15hrs (3hrs*5).Exaggerated though..
I'll illustrate the case about this particular friend of mine who used to be under my parent's guardianship.
I used to be extremely apathetic toward my studies, and it happened that I'm not those 'no-need-to-study-AT-ALL-but can score' kind of kids. Well some of my ex-school mates tried hintting they're of those kind though. Anyway, the natural consequence of being so unconcerned was getting shit results. My friend happened to be very hardworking as compared to me then, so without doubt, she got better results than me... until I start to love mathematics.
My friend: "Singapore's mathematics is so easy. Indo's very very hard."
Many thanks to my mum, else I wouldn't be where I'm at now. She creates miracles, even up till now. OK back to subject. Let's call my friend 'V' from now. There was once, I topped the class without much expectation of it (was posted to a lousy class cos I didn't study for streaming), apparently, within top 5 or 8 in level (I forgot). And she, obviously didn't make it. HAHAHA. Please do not say I'm evil ok, cos in fact she's a bloody backstabber, one of the most extreme backstabbing cases that I've ever encountered/heard I swear. Hate her? Of course. Despise? Yesssss.
But of course, to these people, they'll probably think "She studied harder and was lucky what". Oh, not forgetting to mention, she's one of many who're afraid to let people know they studied for exams. I'm not. When I did study, I'll like my efforts to be recognised. SHE continued to create 'jokes'.
V: "Raffles sec's A maths paper is actually not hard at all. I did it and got B3. It's not as hard as I thought."
Hello?? Rafflesians spend only a few hours doing that paper in exam conditions and YOU spent like centuries on a question? To be exact, a few days, attempting few questions a day. Now who's the stupid one?
Actually, from what I realised, the intelligent Indonesians can distinct hard and easy very accurately and those that are not will insist that Indo's maths= very hard. I'm damn serious. To be fair, I'm not taking those that came to Singapore at very young age into consideration, cos obviously there's not much diff between P1 and 2 syllabuses of diff countries. Students that came as teenagers. For those that got A1? "Singapore's standard is definitely higher."
So, Singapore's mathematics was sooooo easy cos you got better results among the dirt of Singapore? Well yea, I admit I was a dirt with that kindda results.. Or Singapore's mathematics was sooo easy cos you can even achieve B3 after completing an A maths paper from one of Singapore's top schools in 3 days?
OK, if you happen to say I'm bullshitting. Here's some lil thing that may allow you to see the harsh reality. *evil*

NUS RAG Day
To make sure Caesar doesn't get over-heated, I sprinkled water onto him, wet his tummy, paws, and dabbed water on the inner side of the ears (for him to lose heat).. I fed him water of course. And *ta-dah* after 30 minutes, 1 litre of water was gone.
Couldn't get Cow then.. oh sorry, Cowen. So luckily this guy came along. He's a typical nerdy-looking guy that NO girls will ever take a second glance. But he has my vote among all the guys we've met today! Cos he's a Mr Nice. He was asking about Caesar and my sis thought that he's just a guy trying to get to know us by starting off with a topic about Caesar.
I asked him if he has access to the bottled water but he isn't. And I said: "Oh no, I think Caesar's going to dehydrate!" *heeee heeee heeee*
Mr Nice: "Dehydrate?! Ok you wait here. *put down his bag* Take care of my bag!"
I appreciated it really. Especially for people who're concern about animals. He was away for quite a long time. My sis and I sort of forgot about him as we started "entertaining" other "Caesar Magnets".. until we saw him running, but empty handed. Continued talking to others and forgot about him again. "Where's that guy??"
Minutes later he came running to us with about 6 bottles of water. When he reached, he was panting so hard and all he did was to place the bottles nicely on the grass, and busy telling us where to get it. By right, he had no access to those bottles you know. Like I've said, Mr Nice. Best thing is:
Me: Thank you so much!!
Him: *panting, nods his head, with the "you're welcome" hand gesture*.
Me: *Hands him a bottle* You better have one for ourself too.
Him: Oh ya I'm very thirsty too.
LOL. It's so funny right?? He forgot to drink! Intending to introduce this guy to my friend. My advice: Try as much not to look at his face. Character is such a plus plus point. There's quite a few handsome ones but this particular nerd-with-blue braces got my vote!
Without mentioning, you guys should have known that many, i mean many many people took photos of Caesar, including people from the photographic society. This leads me to the idea of setting up a "$1/photo" booth. I can easily earn $50 base on that alone.
Though there're so many "nice nice" people around, there's always this 0.000001% idiots that exist in this world with the only and main purpose/ability in life, that is, to spoil your wonderful day.
This trying-too-hard-to-be-clever security guard stopped us while we're taking the only route to the place we entered Padang. Obviously Caesar isn't a problem cos the I've actually confirmed with the guards at the entrance that pets are allowed.
EUSG = Extremely Unintelligent Security Guard
EUSG: "HELLO! HELLO!" (they can't learn to be more polite, can they?) Where are you going?
I was like thinking what on Earth has this got to do with you? "To the other exit?"
EUSG: "Where? Which exit?"
ME: "there"
EUISG: "DON'T bring to the crowd ar?" With a finger pointing.
He didn't dare to come near obviously, cos he doesn't know that Caesar only feeds on high-quality meat from animals with intelligence.
ME: "No why would I?" *mocking, with 'are-you-stupid??' stare*
He's so irritating. I felt disgusted with the thought that I've actually had a conversation with such a RUDE and STUPID person.**
Cannot bring to the crowd?? Many crowds were formed around Caesar throughout our stay there okay. BESIDES, there was actually a serious plan that Caesar will be brought up to the stage if it's not too hot. Trying to be smart. Who was he to make that decision when the group of organizers have decided to bring him up on stage?? Let alone the fact, that Caesar must pass through a crowd before reaching the stage?? Stupid.
Now I start to agree with Jack Neo's "Just follow Law" film. Really damn disgusted, I'm glad that the conversation wasn't any longer than that. I just hope that these brainless people die off completely! They didn't contribute well in being a security guard either.
It's also kindda obvious that the reason behind his display of "intelligence" was that he doesn't like dogs. Religions do not teach us to hate animals and go against them, do they?
**I have no prejudice against security guards at all. I'm only attacking this particular one I met earlier today.

Judith the talented girl!
She looks gorgeous and makes other girls pretty too! I must say she's really really talented. Hong, another friend of mine, did her make-up in Jean Yip for her sec 4 graduation night and I thought it didn't look quite good on her.. in fact, heee, sorry Hong, it didn't look nice at all! A good and nice make-up for a pretty-looking girl should have some emphasis on those already-looking-good features, but Jean Yip ALTERED hers! Altered. She looked like somebody else.. worse, somebody not even comparable to herself when she's without make-up at all. I'm serious.
I introduced Judith to her to do her make up for her choir concert, and Hong's more than just happy with Judith's artwork. Hahaha, not even her, she received compliments from many of her friends, including the conductor who said "Please send my compliments to your make-up artist."
To think Hong paid more to look worse than she normally does in Jean Yip. Hahahahaha, no offence ya? I thought she attracts more attention on a street without make-up. No joke, she has flawless skin. FLAWLESS and PERFECT. Good enough for me to be envious/jealous of. Maybe I shouldn't have introduced Judith to her. *giggles*
Other than that, Judith does webbie and name card designing. HAHAHA~ so good to know of someone like that right? If ever I need help in these areas, I can get it from her, paying her of course! These are professional services and I think she should be rewarded for the excellent end products. I don't take advantage of my friends ok.. if it's a win-win situation, why not?
As for me, I haven't got the chance to 'hire' her to do make up for me. I was thinking of my 21st birthday party next year and I suddenly remembered something.. COLIN & PHOEBE'S WEDDING at the end of this year!!! Woo-hoooo! Yay~ So I can look pretty by the end of 2007.
There are a few pictures taken while I was modeling for her. Will upload those when get it!
I will highly recommend Judith if you're looking for a make-up artist. It's really worth your money too.
It appears that it was caused by the toxin in a fungal treatment medication, and it is known that some cats have high risks of getting liver damage (so cat owners beware). The best thing is, the vet that prescribed this medication DID NOT even mention about the risks involved!!! !@#$% *curse him* *curse him to rot* *curse him to burn in hell*.
No worries, it's not Mt Pleasant, but the other one near Judith's place.
