Turned out that.....
Caesar had sprained his leg badly. He's on 1 week "medical leave" now! Silly boy. The vet told me that he must have fallen down and have his legs split outwards, causing the injury.
Now that I recall, Caesar did take quite sometime to get out of our room to the living room earlier this morning. I was having my breakfast when he came out, limping on one leg. The accident must have happened along the hallway at the other end of the house.
I spent a lot this trip.. and I billed the medical fees to the wrong card!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have billed it to my TX card but I didn't bring it along and I do not have that much cash on hand. Billed it to my Signature card instead. Now I have to pray that they won't scold me too harshly.
*Btw, I pay my own bills and do not expect my parents to pay for me okay. Just that they are concern about the rate I'm spending.*
You know, to some 'older' people, dog = dog and nothing else, and there's no need to spend so much on them.
I can understand how my parents think when they feel that too much money is spent on Caesar. In a way, they DO make sense - dad always say "When I'm ill, I don't even go and see the doctor unless it's really serious. And each time you bring the dog there, it's a matter of a few hundred dollars."
But my say is, humans will know what's wrong with themselves most of the time and we can take our own medication. Dogs however, they can't express their degree of pain and it's really necessary for us owners to consult the professionals. I have a friend whose shih tzu ingested a satay stick and all he noticed was that his doggie became less active, and whines softly all the time. If he had hesitated for even a second to bring his doggie to the vet to have her OPENED up, he would have lost a best friend, forever.
Some people wouldn't see the need for animal lovers to spend thousands of dollars on their pets cos they thought that LOGICALLY, the amount spent on medical fees could have allowed them to buy a few more pets of the same breed.
Think about it, do you think we are spending these money on an ANIMAL/PET?
No. We are spending this amount of money for a friendship that is doubtlessly priceless. Logic? Ditch that idea.
P.S. It's worth it, unless you are one of those who would rather remarry when your spouse needs huge sum of medical fees to be able to survive? Or that you are those that'll calculate the difference of the cost of having to save your child and the cost of having another child?
P.P.S My silly baby's now resting in the room. At least I know what's wrong now, am a lot more relieved!
Sihui, Rubayn and I had initially planned to bring the kids to somewhere really fun but.. yea.. this happened.
