Dog Training: Tidy up

Isn't the idea of your dog clearing and tidying up his own belongings extremely appealing? You don't have to pick up his/her toys that lie all over the house again! Just another interesting trick to teach your doggie!!


This is how you should start it:

• Give your doggie a ball.
• After your dog picks it up, encourage him to follow you to his toy basket.
• When he/she is standing over the basket, hold a treat in your hands.
• Your doggie will automatically release the ball and when it drops into the basket, say "tidy up"
• Continue practicing with only one toy until he/she masters it. Till then, introduce more toys to go with this command!!

Remember, all dogs learn differently, you've got to come up with your unique ways of achieving the steps to be taken for a customised lesson just suitavle for your dog!
