Had a sumptuous dinner at..
Parris International (Marina Square), though I do not eat seafood at all.
Hubby and I have sort of ran out of ideas of where to eat so we settled there. He's been wanting to go to Parris but I was the hesitant one, cos I knew the highlights of this restaurant are the wide variety of seafood they have.. SEAFOOD! WHAT A HORROR!!!
Seafood has never fail to disappoint my taste-buds, really, I just don't like them. I have tried eating some but I usually have to spit out 99.9% of the seafood that goes into my mouth.
I do eat abalone but I must say I DO NOT appreciate its taste more then how other people do. It's really just some rubbery thing that is edible. So usually the idea of ME eating abalone appears a total waste of "good food" and I'll rather give my share to others.
Sharks' fin soup? I do eat this BUT I can't have it without LOTS and LOTS of vinegar. Hate the taste of sharks' fin soup but LOVE the taste of vinegar, LOTS of vinegar. So basically you can serve me the same kinda soup without any sharks' fin at all and I'll still love it as long as it's served with LOTS of vinegar. So basically I'm just covering the horrible taste of seafood with my favourite - vinegar.
I had lots of their beef/lamb steaks and chicken chops, baked potato (best I've ever had), mushrooms (my favourite!!!), and some of the other non-seafood + fruits + deserts. Frankly speaking, the price of the buffet isn't worth it for a non-seafood lover like myself. I'll strongly recommend this place for seafood lovers!
*I saw Jia Xuan with her boyfriend!!*
Had a really long chat with my elder brother and father till 3.30am just now. 4hrs of chat I guess, lots of discussions from the definations of "good people" and "great contributors", to physics, astronomy, politics, philosophies, art of war, things yet to be explained by science (the so-called "mysteries"), the human brain, sub-conscious mind etc etc. It's been a long time since I've really sat in for looong conversations with family members, they are still the same old funny and interesting people!
Gotta sleep now! I'll be posting some pictures taken few days ago in the next entry!
Caesar's clique's gonna meet up on Monday!
